Shepherd Farms is family owned and operated. We are located in Wilkesboro, NC... just 24 miles from the High Country Food Hub. The personal fulfilment, hard work, and clean living associated with farming has been a part of our family's heritage for over four generations. We have found that by providing plenty of green grass, clean water, and fresh mountain air, our cattle are able to reach an ideal weight of 1100 to 1200 lbs. in 30 months or less. The joy on the faces of our grandchildren when they feed our cattle tasty and beneficial treats such as pumpkins, apples, and bread reassures us that our family's farming tradition will continue well into the future. Shepherd Farms offers all natural, grass-fed Angus and Belted Galloway beef. All our animals are humanely raised, vaccinated (per NC Cattlemen's Association and BQA standards) and processed without the use of antibiotics or growth hormones. Our beef is USDA inspected, dry-aged for a minimum of 14 days, vacuum sealed, and frozen. Our goal is to provide our customers with the healthiest, most flavorful, and tender cut of beef possible.
