Layers of Love is a local micro-bakery owned and operated by community members Alex DelTurco and Sorrel Smith in the heart of Boone, NC. We primarily specialize in making custom cakes for special occasions, but we also love connecting with our high country community through local farmers markets and outlets such as the High Country Food Hub. Here, we provide smaller treats for our customers to enjoy on a regular basis, because we believe that you don't need a special occasion as an excuse to enjoy fancy dessert - you always deserve a little treat!

Our baking process is an artistic one - one where ample time, energy, attention to detail, and love is put into all of our products. We incorporate locally sourced seasonal ingredients where we can, and we offer a wide array of rotating flavors through the seasons. Our prices reflect not only a high quality product, but also account for fair, liveable wages for everyone on our little team so that we can sustain our livelihoods as members of this special, beautiful community. The support of our small business from the high country community allows us to live such authentic and fulfilling lives, and for that we are immensely grateful. We hope for nothing more than for our product to bring our community as much joy as crafting it brings us!
