About Us
Hellbender Farm is a sustainably-run farmstead and sheep farm in Ashe County, NC. We named our farm after the iconic and rare giant aquatic salamander that lives alongside the trout in nearby Helton Creek, which is a part of the New River watershed. In addition to being a working farm where we produce cut flowers, sheep products from our Navajo-churro sheep herd, and teas and tea products, we also host weddings and events, farmstays, and starting in 2024, cut-your-own flowers and tea tastings on select weekends. Please go to www.hellbenderfarm.com for information on how to visit, why Lansing, NC and Ashe County are so cool, how to schedule your event or stay at the farm, or to buy our products.

Practices
We strive to run a sustainable farm and business. To us, this means using organic practices in our farm fields, raising our sheep humanely and with plenty of fresh grass to forage, minimizing plastics and other unsustainable materials in our packaging, using our zero emissions electric vehicle for transport of products to and from the food hub, paying a livable wage to anyone we work with, and thinking through the impacts of our actions on our community and the environment.
