The Valle Crucis Lavender House was created by Madelyn George in 2016 as a start-up business specializing in growing lavender. Our space is multi-purpose, consisting of herb gardens, an outdoor café, spa, workshop area, and retail cabin. Over the past 3 years, the Lavender House has steadily grown to include more homemade products and bigger gardens. We are always working on developing new products, and new tea blends
The infrastructure of the Lavender House gardens was created using permaculture principles. Most of our lavender grows in earth-contoured swales that include a polyculture of echinacea, rosemary, yarrow, and lavender. Our products are pesticide and insecticide free. Many of the herbs in our teas are homegrown, and those that are not are organic and come from Mountain Rose Herbs.
